 Salon Accreditation for Local Beauty Salon
Widnes Salon Owner Susan Southern has become the first business in the  area
to gain an NSI Gold Award.

 The award, created by Achieve Training Consultants for NSI  (Nail Systems
International) was launched in January 2011 and  Elizabeth Mitchelle was
amongst the first Salons in the UK to achieve it.

 MD of NSI Jason Shaw commented ‘ The Nail & Beauty Industry is one of 
the few industries that has no body or board responsible for governing the 
standards of skills and the way a business is run. There are salons operating 
with no understanding of Health & Safety or Management Skills. This award
was  devised to recognise those salons conforming to all the relevant
legislations,  with employees that have relevant and up to date skills and that
offer a guaranteed  level of service. We are delighted at the response.’

 The salons that applied to be involved in the first stages of the NSI Gold
Award went through a stringent training and inspection programme  and those that
succeeded have now been presented with their awards that they  will proudly
display in their salons.
